Julie and Julia

I did like the movie because it had interesting point of views of both women and it really showed how different their lives were without being excessively melodramatic. Even so, I don't really feel like I would necessarily recommend it to anyone since it wasn't entirely the most interesting. It would only be something I would bring up if the person I was speaking to like independent or just cutesy films since that is all I can really label the movie as.

Reflection

#1 How are the concepts you are currently learning about in class/school reflected in the movie Julie & Julia?
In one of my classes in particular we are discussing the differences in life people have compared to other social or economic classes which can be seen in the lifestyles of Julie and Julia. One comes from working at a desk job with phone call after phone call with only a run down flat to call a home, whereas the other resides in another country where they get to enjoy eating all sorts of delicious food and meeting all kinds of people.
#2 Accept that doing anything well requires hard work.
The statement above is usually taken as common sense but it actually hard to follow by. I personally am someone who does things quickly or last minute so putting a lot of work into something is a rare occurrence for me. I do know that it would make assignments much better and make life a lot more relaxing to feel good about my work but that hasn't proved to be much motivation to do so. It will eventually kick in seeing as my high school career is one year away from ending and it is important to have a good image during the time I have left.

Interests and hobbies

What are your interests, hobbies, and/ or passions?
My interests are watching comedic b-rated horror films, playing indie videogames occasionally,  chatting with friends, editing pictures, and I find watching obscure reality television shows to be amusing.
Do you think that you have to have your life completely figured out by the age of 30? Why or why not?
It should be expected and planned out to a great extent but plans can always change around or after that age. No matter how decisive a person is, there is still that chance that the life they thought for them was not fully spot on. There is always people above the age of the thirty that are returning to college to get a degree in a major they didn't even think about in their early twenties. Having some sort of plan as a late teen makes things less stressful and easier in reach but that doesn't necessarily mean those specific plans are the appropriate ones for that set person.
